Corporate sustainability has become a top priority for businesses across industries, driven by growing awareness of environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. The key initiatives companies are adopting aim to address the long-term impact of their operations, not only on the environment but also on society and the overall economy.
With rising pressure from stakeholders – among them, customers, investors and regulatory bodies – companies are increasingly aligning their strategies to incorporate sustainable practices. The reasons behind this shift are multifaceted, ranging from risk management to enhanced brand loyalty and long-term profitability.
Over the past year, Asset Benchmark Research (ABR) reviewed numerous compelling initiatives in which companies exceeded expectations by leveraging their resources to drive positive change within their respective ecosystems. Examples include transforming food waste into eco-friendly soil conditioners and improving financial access for migrant workers in Taiwan.
As in previous years, ABR considered a number of factors when selecting these initiatives, including the measurable positive impact and the uniqueness of such programmes.
