Law firm Mayer Brown has named Allison Lee to its corporate and securities practice as a mergers and acquisitions (M&A) partner.
Lee joins from Debevoise & Plimpton where she was a member of the firm’s corporate department and its private equity and M&A groups in Hong Kong.
She has 15 years of experience advising public and private companies and private equity (PE) firms in connection with cross-border M&A, joint ventures, strategic investments, distribution arrangements and secondary sale transactions across Asia.
Lee is the latest M&A partner to have joined Mayer Brown in Asia, following the recent addition of Eiji Kobayashi in the firm’s Tokyo office, and a team of English law and Singapore law qualified corporate lawyers in Singapore.
Kevin Sheridan, leader of the firm’s global corporate and securities practice, says: “Lee’s experience advising sophisticated insurance companies and financial institutions, as well as her work on behalf of PE sponsors is a perfect match for our M&A strategy across Asia.”
