The Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) has appointed Corinne Lamesch as deputy CEO and general counsel.
Lamesch has more than 25 years of experience in the Luxembourg fund industry. She began her career in Luxembourg in 1998 as a lawyer with A&O Shearman and Clifford Chance. Prior to joining the association, Lamesch worked for Fidelity International for 16 years. She was conducting officer of its Luxembourg-based management company from 2015 and was appointed as its Luxembourg country head in 2017.
She has also been deeply committed to ALFI for many years, actively contributing to various technical committees and working groups. She has been an ALFI board member since 2017 and was chair of the ALFI board from June 2019 to June 2023. As well, she played a key role in the conception and launch of the Luxembourg Women in Finance Charter in March 2023, which aims to improve gender diversity within Luxembourg’s financial centre.
Her extensive professional experience in the asset management business both in Luxembourg and internationally, her solid legal expertise and her continued dedication to the growth of Luxembourg’s fund industry, the association says, made Lamesch the ideal candidate for this role.
“Her appointment marks a significant milestone for ALFI,” says Jean-Marc Goy, the association’s chair. “Her deep understanding of the Luxembourg fund industry, combined with her leadership experience and unwavering commitment to the association, makes her an invaluable asset as we continue to strengthen Luxembourg’s position as a global hub for investment funds.”
