Philippine fast-food chain Jollibee Group has opened the first Tiong Bahru Bakery in the country.
Originally from Singapore, Tiong Bahru Bakery is known for its croissant and other expertly handmade pastries using the finest French ingredients.
It now has 21 branches in Singapore. Its first store in the Philippines is located at the Verve Residences Tower 2, Bonifacio Global City ( BGC ) in Taguig City, Metro Manila.
Jollibee Group is one of the world's fastest-growing restaurant companies, with 19 brands and over 9,500 stores across 32 countries. Its portfolio includes eight wholly owned brands ( Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Mang Inasal, Yonghe King, Hong Zhuang Yuan, Smashburger ), and four franchised brands ( Burger King, Panda Express, Yoshinoya in the Philippines, and Tim Ho Wan in China ).
The group also holds stakes in other key brands like The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf ( 80% ), Compose Coffee ( 70% ), SuperFoods Group that operates Highlands Coffee ( 60% ), and bubble tea brand Milksha ( 51% ).
It has membership interests in Tortazo, along with Chef Rick Bayless, for Tortazo in the United States, and has recently invested in Botrista, a leader in beverage technology. The group has recently completed the transfer of ownership and management of Tim Ho Wan to Jollibee Group's wholly-owned subsidiary Jollibee Worldwide.
Jollibee also established a joint venture company that holds the franchise rights to operate Tiong Bahru Bakery and Common Man Coffee Roasters in the Philippines.
